A black box full dome immersive exhibition experience that transports the user into the heart of the Whiskey making process. The project uses the different states of liquid within the distilling process as its main theme. The breathtaking surrounding landscape of the Erhai Region is conceptually translated through human made monolithic structures.
My role included overseeing the full process of the project including research and initial ideation, concept and design development, 2d drawings, 3d Modelling and visualisation.
The dramatic interplay of light and shadow wove a unique visual language throughout the project.
Visualisations in this project were designed to evoke the emotion and feeling of the space, rather than just depict it spatially.
Using the technique of Chiaroscuro, people and structural focal points were spotlighted and intentional highlights were created throughout the image. Drawing inspiration from Baroque paintings the aim was to build a rich, highly emotive narrative within each image.
